Ryzenberg On: She Wears Short Skirts

So happy I found this images, though it’s a bit of a ‘Throwback Thursday,’ since they were taken last spring. The great thing this that all of these pieces are ready to make a comeback.

I love short skirts. When I lived in Miami, I wore them regularly, dressed them up for the night and donned them with flip flops for errands. Despite not having the luxury to sport them often, when the sun is out I put them on the rotation. They are fun, flirty and when worn to the right occasion, a hit.

Always remember:

Keep the top part conservative. Too much cleavage and leg can look cheap (trust, me even Miss 305 over here follows that).

*Heels work, but if it’s too short go for the flats. Better to be safe than sorry.

*Skirts with a poof are fantastic and very playful, tulle is always a winner too.

*Strut your stuff and own it! You will feel like a million bucks and it’s worth it.

Ryzenberg On: Sartorialism of Olympic Proportions

The Olympics are usually known for its records, amazing performances by athletes and milestones that end up in history books. But this year’s celebrations in London might feel more like a catwalk!

With Ralph Lauren designing the official Team USA uniforms during the opening ceremonies, Stella McCartney dressing the host country and Prada and Georgio Armani helping Italy’s Azzuris — this might not only be a treat for athletes and sports aficionados, but also for fashionistas alike!

Check out some of the classic uniforms that might be worn during the Summer games! Believe me, all of these creations are going for the gold.

Ryzenberg On: Prada S/S 2012 Campaign

Ladies and Gents, start your engines. The Prada Spring/Summer 2012 campaign is roaring into full force and seeing from the recently released images, it’s most likely going to be another hit for the Milanese brand.

The campaign, shot by Steven Meisel, features a bevy blonde and brunette beauties including Natasha Poly, Meghan Collison, Elise Crombez, Ymbre Stiekema and Katryn Kruger. The gals are all decked in 1950s splendor and giving their best poses at a gas station with authentic hot rods as props. The whole thing is produced beautifully and the colors from the sky really blend well with the looks.

Prada’s S/S 2012 collection got plenty of accolades during Milan Fashion Week. This fashion powerhouse clearly has nailed the past collections, especially S/S 2011, as it was featured in dozens of magazine covers worldwide.

I am sure this latest creation, which sartorially pays homage to a decade when women vacuumed in pearls, TV was still in black and white and the East and West were divided by an ‘Iron Curtain,’ will be coveted by starlets, socialites and stylists.

Mission accomplished Miuccia!

Ryzenberg On: Prada Limited Edition Jewelry Collection

Miuccia has done it AGAIN! After receiving accolades for her latest S/S 12 collection in Milan, the designer released a limited edition jewelry collection that will debut next month.

The blingstastic capsule collection, which will be sold in stores worldwide, includes necklaces, brooches, earrings and rings. They range from whimsically and ladylike to edgy and fashion forward. Miuccia mixed some brand’s iconic materials like metallic studs, leather and crocodile and created great one-of-a-kind-pieces.

The price tag is not as hefty as one might think, considering these are limited edition, as they start at roughly $490. So remember to check out your nearest Prada boutique as soon as this collection is released, because I can assure you it will sell like hot cakes.

WWMD (Of course stands for — What Would Miuccia Do) because for many, she is like G-d (kind of like when Alanis Morrisette played G-d in Dogma) and of course for most fashionistas worldwide, she is considered more like a Saint…Santa Miuccia!
