Ryzenberg On: Spotted — Céline Luggage Shopper Tote

There is a new bag du jour in the fashionsphere. Céline’s Luggage Shopper Tote is amongst the most coveted items for celebs, models, editors and anyone with a keen sense of style.

So why is all of the sudden this Parisian house, famous for its polished looks, so sought-after? Well that’s simple, its creative director Phoebe Philo (formerly at Chloé) revived the brand and created an accessories line that usually steals the show during Paris Fashion Week. Another notable Celiné designer is Michael Kors, who in the late 1990s, was named the first womenswear and ready-to-wear designer and creative director. He developed several blockbuster collections and a critically acclaimed pret-a-porter line.

The brand has been around since 1945 and has kept its equestrian chic feel for decades. This is certainly a simple well-made bag that is versatile and timeless. It comes in several sizes and colors and will elevate a look to understated elegance. 

When Céline debuted this purse in 2009, it was sold out for months and many were placed on wait lists worldwide. Now, although some colors are hard to find, you can find a piece of handbag heaven at Saks, Neiman Marcus, Barneys and other upscale stores. 

But if you think it doesn’t come with a hefty price tag, THINK AGAIN. The line starts at about $1,000 and can go to as high as $3,500, so get ready to dish out the dough!

This is definitely some fabulous baggage you’ll want to carry.

Ryzenberg On: New M Missoni Boutique at Saks in NYC

While strolling through the Saks flagship store in 5th Avenue and stumbling upon one of their wonderful window displays, I learned M Missoni was opening its new boutique on the 4th floor and hosting a fashion show and party.

Didn’t think twice and when the clock struck 6pm, I ‘zig-zagged’ my way there like a kid in a candy store! It was so much fun to see all the sales gals decked in Fall/Winter M Missoni, and even made some new friends on the way. (BTW: Angela & Margarita NEVER disappoint me with any of their lines — no matter what prize point it is. What they have in stock for this upcoming season is absolutely divine)

One of the M Missoni plublicists, Jessica Gwozdz showed ‘Missionistas’ the latest trends for winter and shared some great ideas on how to pair off different tunics, dresses, tights and sweaters with other pieces. M Missoni is offering an array of colors —- of course their signature prints are available, but they also have some great timeless LBDs that are sure to be crowd pleasers. They could be worn with boots, heels and they are perfect for all of the upcoming holiday soirees during the season.

Oh, did I mention the fete also featured complimentary makeovers by NARS, a DJ, a photobooth and some fabulous food?? Ladies had a chance to learn beauty trends from the NARStastic experts and there was even a goodie bag at the end!

It was a wonderful way to start the weekend and a sweet treat during my visit to the Big Apple! Thanks to the gals at Saks, especially Karen Rassier and Jessica from M Missoni for making this blog post happen!

Seriously, when in New York, you won’t want to miss any of the Saks events. You’ll mingle with the best of them, feel like a million bucks, get some expert advice and even score some shwag! 

Can’t wait what the San Francisco Saks team and M Missoni has in store, because you know I will be front & center (rain, fog, sun or snow!)
